Facebook Targeting Strategies For Customers In 2014

By Adam Noah

Facebook allows some pretty slick advertising technologies for targeting specific clients and prospective clients. You can go into the 'create ads' section and use the Lookalike Audiences tool, to target whatever demographic you wish.

You can advertise on Facebook, and recently they have allowed people to target certain groups of people, such as those who might be interested in the product that you have to offer. For example assume that you sell baby products, and you put together an ad for baby blanket, so you target mothers on Facebook in the state of Ohio, who have had their baby within the past 7 months.

Or better yet, you might target the mothers of these mothers, so they can buy the blankets as presents. Facebook lets you set up a campaign and then you can test it. You can let it run for awhile, and see how it is doing, then if it doesn't look like it is going to work out, you can pause or stop it.

You will get even better results if you create an ad that speaks to your audience. Think of a clever way to draw attention to your ad, for instance with an original picture of your products or with an attention-catching title. Facebook users see ads every time they check their favorite social network and might not notice all the ads they see. You will get better results if your ad stands out and invite the user to click. You could for instance use Facebook ads to promote a special discount or advertise a new product.

Facebook has over 1 billion members now, so the audience is huge and within that audience there is every interest and every culture in the world. The fact that specific interests, incomes, desires, and backgrounds can be targeted is a real advantage for marketers who can learn the facebook promotional kills and take advantage of them. Target your products to the buyers that want them, and you will be successful.
