Types Of Batteries That A Lipstick Power Bank Can Have

By Johny Jacson

Although not everyone believes that a lipstick power bank is needed, it is necessary to have one especially if you are always on the go. This is true for people who need to have fully charged gadgets most of the time for constant communication or to do technical work.

NiCd (Nickel Cadmium) Battery

The external components of a lipstick power bank are the LED indicator, the micro-USB and the USB. Authentic power banks have a LED indicator that has a large diameter, a micro-USB that has a black internal port and a USB that has a yellow top port. In some real power banks, the USB has a beige top port.

Li-ion (Lithium Ion) Battery

A lipstick power bank with this battery can charge gadgets in 2-4 hours. When exposed to a temperature of 1-2 degrees Celsius, the li-ion battery will charge devices with a higher power.

It can create a temperature of -20-60 degrees Fahrenheit and it typically costs $100. It also requires no maintenance. The Li-ion battery simplifies the battery designs that are found in many smart phones and notebook computers. This is because a high cell voltage is packed in one li-ion battery cell.

Alkaline Battery

Gadgets that require 2-3 hours of charging time can use a lipstick power bank that has this battery.

Like the caution information on the battery cell, the user manual may contain information written in other languages. Some power banks may provide the user manual only in English, especially if they're new to the public. The manual must also include instructions on how to use the power bank and the purpose of the power bank's external components.

NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) Battery

This battery can charge gadgets at a maximum power when exposed to a temperature of 0.5-5 degrees Celsius. It can take 2-4 hours to charge devices and it requires maintenance for 60-90 days to prevent crystalline formation.

It can produce a temperature of -20-60 degrees Fahrenheit and its typical price is $20. The NiMH can be recycled because it contains small amounts of toxins. It is typically used to charge laptops and smart phones.

Li-ion polymer (Lithium Ion Polymer) Battery

A lipstick power bank with this battery requires little to no maintenance. The li-ion polymer battery is usually sold for $100 and can recharge gadgets after 2-4 hours. It delivers higher power to devices when exposed to a temperature of 1-2 degrees Celsius. The Li-ion battery can produce a temperature of 0-60 degrees Celsius. This battery can easily be manufactured in various sizes and is typically used to charge smart phones.

A real USB plug is slightly longer and has the power bank's brand name. It has a USB symbol and has a yellow top port. Some genuine power banks come with a USB plug port that has a beige top port. The real USB plug's metal looks smooth, while the fake one seems grainy. Grainy metal indicates that a cheaper manufacturing procedure or metal is used.

This battery requires a 30 to 60-month maintenance and needs 8-16 hours to fully charge gadgets. It can produce a temperature of 20-60 degrees Fahrenheit. Its usual price is $25 and it can deliver maximum power to devices if it's exposed to a temperature of 1-2 degrees Celsius.

The lead acid battery can be classified as a VRLA (valve-regulated lead acid) battery or a SLA (sealed lead acid) battery. The lead acid battery can cause environmental destruction because it contains harmful lead content and electrolyte.

These are the different kinds of batteries that a lipstick power bank may need to function properly.
